Well another year has passed and the Central Missouri Scale Modelers have just completed our "End Of Year Pot Luck Dinner" and "Officer Elections"!  The club provided BBQ and buns and the club members provided the sides as we enjoyed the company of our friends.  We also performed our annual Election of Officers for the new year.

The currently elected officers for 2012 are:
   - Brian Lloyd - President
   - Scott Adams - Treasurer
   - T.Mike Curry - Secretary/WebMaster
   - Colin Smialek - TigerCon Committee Chair

Other Non-elected positions:

   - Jack Andrewson - Meeting Topic Coordinator and TigerCon Committee Member

A Big Thank You!

I want to thank Colin Smialek and Mike Duncan for their excellent service as past President and Treasurer for 2011 and Jack Andrewson for coordinating our monthly meeting topics and participating on the TigerCon 2011 committee.  We had a very successful year for a fledgling IPMS Club and first time Contest host.

What to Expect for 2012

With the President and TigerCon Committee Chair position now being held by two different individuals our club will now be able to focus on club goals and focus on contest goals at the same time.  Colin will dedicate himself to the coordination and planning activities needed for CMSM's next TigerCon to be a continued and even better success.  This will allow me to focus on the club goals exclusively for 2012.

Club Goals for 2012

Currently the goals for the President of the Central Missouri Scale Modelers is to:

   1. Raise public awareness of the Club and it's purpose
   2. Increase club membership
   3. Increase community outreach and education activities especially related to children

As members of the club you have the right, and an expectation, that you will provide your ideas and suggestions to the President so that we can discuss and vote on possible improvements to the club's charter, mission, outreach and operation.  So now is the time share your ideas!  Simply send any ideas or issues to and the Officers will organize and bring to the meetings for discussion and disposition.  If you have topics that you would like to see at the monthly meetings (like improving your gluing, sanding, painting or display techniques) then please send them to the group email address.

I want to thank everyone for giving me the chance to serve the CMSM Club and to increase it's visibility and to continue to promote the hobby of scale model building and competition.

Brian Lloyd
