Juniors Age 16 and Under, All Scales -- JUNIOR MODELERS : Class 101
Any model in any scale built by someone who is 16 years of age or younger. If there are enough entrants, this class will be split into '101-A' and '101-B'.

Aircraft, Smaller than 1/72nd -- AIRCRAFT: Class 201
All aircraft of any type in a scale smaller than 1/72nd.

Prop Aircraft, 1/72 Scale -- AIRCRAFT: Class 202
All 1/72nd scale aircraft driven by one or more propellers.

Jet Aircraft, 1/72nd Scale -- AIRCRAFT : Class 203
All 1/72nd scale aircraft driven by one or more jet engines.

Prop Aircraft, 1/48th Scale -- AIRCRAFT : Class 204
All 1/48th scale aircraft driven by one or more propellers.

Jet Aircraft, 1/48th Scale -- AIRCRAFT : Class 205
All 1/48th scale aircraft driven by one or more jet engines.

Aircraft, Larger than 1/48th Scale -- AIRCRAFT : Class 206
All aircraft of any type in a scale larger than 1/48th.

Miscellaneous Aircraft, All Scales -- AIRCRAFT : Class 207
Includes helicopters, rockets, gliders, and sailplanes. This is for aircraft-oriented kits which do not fit in another aircraft category.

Out of the Box Aircraft, All Scales -- AIRCRAFT : Class 208
The model was built using only the parts and decals that came in the original box. You can paint it and weather it, but you can't scratch-build additional parts, kit-bash, nor use after-market detail sets. Rigging, when not provided in the kit, may be added if it is called out in the instructions. ** The kit's instructions will be required. **

Armor Smaller than 1/35 Scale -- MILITARY : Class 301
All armored fighting vehicles from any era in a scale smaller than 1/35th.

Allied Armor 1945 and Earlier, 1/35 Scale -- MILITARY : Class 302
British, Russian, American, French, Chinese, and other Allied Nation's armored fighting vehicles.

Axis Armor 1945 and Earlier, 1/35 Scale -- MILITARY : Class 303
German, Japanese, Italian, Finnish, Hungarian, and other Axis Nation's armored fighting vehicles.

Armor 1946 to Present, 1/35 Scale -- MILITARY : Class 304
All armored fighting vehicles from 1946 to present in 1/35th scale.

Jeeps, Halftracks, Soft Skins, All Scales -- MILITARY : Class 305
Includes military staff cars and other (typically wheeled) soft-skin vehicles.

Artillery, All Scales -- MILITARY : Class 306
Any artillery piece from any era in any scale.

Miscellaneous Military, All Scales -- MILITARY : Class 307
Military models which do not fit in another category. Examples include: German Goliath, M561 Gama Goat, Military Fork Lift, Marine Bulldozer (Pacific Theatre), non-armored bridge layer truck, Egyptian SA-2 Missile Transporter, Panzerschreck model replica.

Out of the Box: Military, All Scales -- MILITARY : Class 308

You'd have to buy it from the foreign dealership showroom floor. Includes trucks.

Racing Automotive, Smaller than 1/20 Scale -- AUTOMOTIVE : Class 403
Professional racing cars, dragsters, or any other vehicle built or modified for professional racing.

Custom Automotive, Smaller than 1/20 Scale -- AUTOMOTIVE : Class 404
Tricked-out, modified, customized, custom-built autos; You cannot buy this from the showroom floor, and it is not a professional racing car.

Automotive, 1/20 Scale and Larger -- AUTOMOTIVE : Class 405
Any vehicle model 1/20th scale or larger.

Commercial Trucks, Rescue, Service Vehicles, All Scales -- AUTOMOTIVE : Class 406
Examples include: Fire trucks, Ambulances, 18-Wheelers, Tow Trucks and Street Sweepers. You're little Dodge Ram goes in "Domestic Automotive" and that Toyota 4x4 goes in "Foreign Automotive"... not here where they'll get run over by the big rigs!

Motorcycles, All Scales -- AUTOMOTIVE : Class 407
All motorcycles in any scale, from any era. Includes Tricycles and side-car equipped cycles.

Miscellaneous Automotive, All Scales -- AUTOMOTIVE : Class 408
It's an automotive kit, but it doesn't fit in any other automotive category. Examples include: the "Visible Car Engine".

Figures, 55mm and Larger -- FIGURES : Class 502
Includes statuettes, vignettes, animals, and busts of 55mm and larger. Sorry, no "mature-content" as we do not have a separate restricted display area. Head Judge has final say in the event of questions.

Sailing Ships, All Scales -- SHIPS : Class 601
Ships-of-the-line from the Great Age of Sailing, and any other vessal which primarily uses wind and sail to move.

Ships 1/350th and Larger -- SHIPS : Class 602
Any ship of 1/350th scale and larger from any era (which are not sailing ships).

Ships Smaller than 1/350th -- SHIPS : Class 603
Any ship smaller than 1/350th scale from any era (which are not sailing ships).

Real Space, All Scales -- OUTER SPACE : Class 701
Any real outer space capable vehicle or object, in any scale.

Science Fiction, All Scales -- OUTER SPACE : Class 702
Any science fiction object, ship, or vehicle, in any scale (which are not Gundam).

GUNDAM, All Types -- OUTER SPACE: Class 703
Any Gundam model in any size.

Dioramas, All Themes, All Scales -- DIORAMAS : Class 801
Dioramas must be no larger than 24 inches x 24 inches unless authorized by the Head Judge. The entire diorama will be judged as a whole. Also, don't forget that dioramas should "tell a story", and this is an additional aspect included in the judging of dioramas.

Scratch-Built, All Types, All Scales -- SCRATCH-BUILT : Class 901
You built the whole thing from the ground up with parts and pieces you either made or assembled yourself.

Miscellaneous, All Types, All Scales -- MISCELLANEOUS : Class 902
This is for any model that does not fit in any other category. It is not an "alternative" to entering a model in a more appropriate category. Examples include: the Revell Big Boy Locomotive, buildings or structures not intended as a diorama.

AWARDS

Category Awards
Every category has its own 1st Place, 2nd Place, and 3rd Place awards. These awards are chosen by the judges. Category awards are done on a "No Sweeps" basis. This means that if your model wins (for example) 1st place in category 402, you cannot also receive 2nd or 3rd in category 402.

Best in Aircraft
Best out of all the Aircraft categories. This award is chosen by the judges.

Best in Military
Best out of all the Military categories. This award is chosen by the judges.

Best in Automotive
Best out of all the Automotive categories. This award is chosen by the judges.

Best in Figures
Best out of all the Figures categories. This award is chosen by the judges.

Best in Ships
Best out of all the Ships categories. This award is chosen by the judges.

Theme Champion -- "Come Hell or High Water!"
Any model may be included in the optional theme competition. Each year has a different theme. The model should depict or portray something that relates to the theme. If you want your entry considered for the Theme judging, write "THEME" along the side border of your model entry sheet.

People's Choice Trophy
Every contestant will receive a voting slip. Write down the contestant number and the entry number for the entry you feel is the best in the whole show. Drop the voting slip in the box in the Contest Area. This award is selected by the participating modelers at the show.

Best of Show Trophy
This trophy goes to the entry the judges determine is the best in the show for this year!
